Tourism in St Lucia is centred in the North West of the island close to the capital, Castries, with its natural harbour and where you can enjoy guided Heritage Walks through the old colonial city learning about the history of the area.  In the south the impressive twin peaks of the Piton Mountains tower over the coast.  St Lucia has everything from sweet boutique hotels to all-inclusive family hotels.  Couples, singles and families and wedding parties can all find what they want here!

Beautiful botanical gardens, stunning waterfalls, working plantations, Pigeon Island  and rainforest trails are well worth exploring.  Rare birds, whales and turtles can all be spotted here.  Below sea level, check out the wonderful range of marine life from corals and seahorses to magnificent rays and turtles!  For the more adventurous traveller, how about trying windsurfing or kite-surfing?  Savour the sights and sounds of the vibrant market in Castries.

St Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival takes place in May each year.  Lasting almost two weeks, this festival brings together world-renowned musicians, artisans and enthusiasts celebrating the culture and history of St Lucia.  St Lucia’s Carnival celebrating freedom takes place in June/July comprising music, parades and vivid carnival costumes.  Rodney Bay Village is the place to go for nightlife, bars and dining.  Anse La Raye holds  its Friday Night Fish Fry and Gros Islet’s ‘Jump Up’ is where you can dance alongside locals every Friday until late!
