Spice Island Beach Resort is a luxury 64-room resort in Grenada: Winner of Conde Nast Johansens Award – 2012 Most Excellent Resort for the Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific. The Hotel is All-Inclusive.
It is in a superb location right on 1,600 feet of breathtaking Grand Anse Beach, but less than 10 minutes from the Maurice Bishop International Airport yet not in the flight path.
The Resort is family owned and managed by Grenadian Sir Royston Hopkin and his family and staffed by professional, friendly and attentive employees. It boasts Grenada’s only designer shopping at the resort’s “Gatsby” boutiques and one of the best dive operations on the island, “Aquanauts”
Spice Island features elegant, luxurious and spacious accommodations, all with modern features, Molton Brown amenities and Italian linen to make guests feel welcome and at home. Attention is given to every detail.
Thirty four rooms are located immediately on the golden sands of Grand Anse Beach, seventeen suites have their own private swimming pool.
This is an ideal property for couples, families, honeymooners, weddings and offers gourmet cuisine, fine wines and premium brand liquors as well as a superb spa, “Janissa’s”, offering an array of treatments in indoor and outdoor areas.
All rooms have a balcony or patio, air conditioning, ceiling fan, LCD television, DVD, telephone, mini-bar, tea/coffee-making facility, safe, private bathroom with shower and bath, iron and ironing board. All rooms also feature Frette linen, bathrobes, slippers and Molton Brown amenities. All suites now feature bedside iPod docking station/clock radios.
Playing on the ‘spice’ theme, all 64 rooms have been named to reflect the flavour of the resort. The four Royal Collection Suites (Royal Ginger, Royal Mace, Royal Clove and Royal Sage) and six Luxury Almond Pool Suites are virtual mini-villas at 1,500-square-feet with 16′ x 20′ private pools, marble bathrooms and beautiful furnishings.
The seven Anthurium Pool Suites are 1,200-square-feet and feature a shaded porch, plunge pool and private gardens.
Fronting the golden Grand Anse Beach are 32 spectacular Seagrape Suites which are 720-square-feet and feature an additional 225 sq.ft landscaped patio with chaise longes and a double hammock. Finished with luxurious furnishings and en suite bathrooms with views of the sea.
Tucked into lush gardens are the 13 Oleander Suites at 620-square-feet. For a new spin on on beach-side elegance, the palatial Cinnamon and Saffron Suites, at 1,440-square-feet each, are situated beachside and are both stylish and sophisticated. They also feature a 450 sq. ft of landscaped patio with chaise lounges and a double hammock. These suites can connect to the Seagrape Suites creating a perfect solution for families travelling together.
Facilities include The Nutmeg Pod, a supervised play area for children of 3 years and above. Included are electronic gaming stations, board games and TV. There is also Sleepy Hollow for those seeking a rest between activities. Each day, a children’s movie is shown in the Viewing Corner and a selection of children’s DVDs is available for in-room viewing. There is also a selection of children’s books available in The Nutmeg Library. Nutmeg Pod is open daily. Children must be fully toilet trained.
Janissa’s Spa offers a variety of therapies and treatments at a charge.
Sports include Tennis, a fitness centre and complimentary use of bicycles. There is a central swimming pool. Non-powered watersports are available free of charge. Scuba and a hobie-cat lesson at an additional charge. There is a Dive centre on site (at extra cost).
Entertainment, including dance combos, steelband and calypso music, is provided 4-5 times a week.

Child Policy: Children 0-11 years inc. not accepted in pool suites year round.
Children under 5 years will not be permitted in Oliver’s Restaurant after 6 pm in High Season. They may be accommodated for dinner in the Sea & Surf Terraces.

Dress Code: Dress code is very casual during the day with cover-ups required over swim suits in public and dining areas. After 7pm, for dining at Oliver’s restaurant, the dress code is elegantly casual evening attire, excluding sleeveless tops for gentlemen as well as shorts for both ladies and gentlemen. Smart jeans, polo shirts as well as dress sandals are welcome for both ladies and gentlemen. Trainers are not permitted. The Sea and Surf Terrace & Bar feature a menu of authentic local specialties for lunch. Evening dining for children under five years old, accompanied by parents is available in Sea & Surf Terrace. Children menus are available. Children are not required to adhere to a dress code, but must be properly dressed with shoes at dinner.
Complimentary luxury airport transfers are now included for guests booking Cinnamon, Saffron, Royal Collection and Luxury Almond Suite accommodation.
